An armchair with a timeless design inspired by colonial furniture. Light and compact, the timeless shape of the tilting back armchair was presented in 1929 at the Salon d'Automne alongside other iconic models such as the Grand Confort Armchair, the small model, the Grand Confort Armchair, the large model, the Tube Table plane and the continuously adjustable lounge chair.
The tilting back armchair is the result of an in-depth study of body posture and presents itself as the perfect support for composed relaxation which predisposes to conversation thanks to the reclining backrest.
The perfect simplicity of composition of the emblematic tilting back armchair adapts to different contexts and is available in different versions such as that of 1930 for the exhibition at the Union of Modern Artists.
